PostSubject: || Application Skeleton ; Find the coding here!   Thu Jan 15, 2015 7:01 am

Brief Introduction || Guidelines & Rules ;

Please note that the following is not an extensive list of rules and it is requested you please use your common sense with applications. In the case of yourself requiring to check all answers on the wesite, reference other applications or be asking others for answers / ideas / inspiration or you're not serious about being a long-term staff member, please reconsider applying. Please note that all applications are subjected to feedback from General Staff Members and above.

Quote :

Your application should be in the format of your name as it appears on Furcadia, followed by Application. Nothing should be added or otherwise changed. For example, Kib's application would be titled Kib's Application.

Your application should be posted in the Basic Application Information section. For assistance, please click  http://campbournedale.forumakers.com/f4-basic-application-information to be taken to the appropriate forum. Please look in the bottom right-hand side of the screen for the "post" option.

Please use the coding provided on this page and do not alter it in any way, shape, form. Please ensure your answers, where applicable, are on the line underneath of the question. If filled out correctly, everything should be bolded. Should you notice typos, incorrect coding or other errors please file appropriate reports.

Please note the occasional error in your writing is alright, however, short-forming your application to use chat-speak, slang or otherwise lazy English will result in it being automatically declined.

The only responses to applications should be General Staff Members and above. All responses should be detailed opinion(s) on your application, which will greatly affect if you will be hired or not in the form of "recommended" or "not recommended" on your application. Please note that even though you may be recommended or not recommended, it does not

Please note that, even though you may be mostly recommended or not recommended, it doesn't assure you being hired or not. Only the final say from the Owner or Co-Owner will determine if you are hired or not.

Under no circumstances are you to ask staff members to look your application over. Do not pester them in any way, shape or form. Staff members are requested to check the website once a day when online; your application will be seen. If you are caught pestering, you will be declined automatically. Please note we will attempt to get to your application within one week. If it hasn't been looked at by then and there haven't been any announcements regarding applications, please contact a staff member.

Please answer to the best of your ability and note that, should a question be two or more parts, it is best to answer all parts. You may be automatically declined if a portion of a question is ignored, as it will count as missing a question. Editing your application in any way, shape or form will result in being declined.

We thank you for your time and interest in joining our team and we hope to see you accepted as a staff member. Have fun and best of luck. Please note it is highly recommended you fill your application out in an external writing program, with a save feature. For example, WordPad, NotePad or Word are wonderful alternatives to make sure you don't lose your work.

Basic Introduction(s) || All About You ;

Your Furcadian Name: Please list your main alt as a form of alternate contact. Unless it's the same as below, you will not be recieving share on this alt; we just need a way to contact you!
First Potential Staff Name: Please list the alt you will be using in the dream and would like share on.
Second Furcadian Name: If you would like, you may list a second alt here that will recieve share - you are not permitted more than 2 alts on share, at any point in time. Just remove this section, if you don't want to give a second alt.
Your Gender: Of course, the one you identify with. Also, if you're transgender/genderfluid/alternate gender/etc, then please identify the pronoun(s) you wish to be used. You're not absolutely required to do this, but we ask you do so that there's no risk of offending you, by accident.
Your Age: In the event you're uncomfortable sharing this, just remove this section. But, please be aware you must be at least 16 years old to apply. No exceptions. If you make it known you lied here, you will be removed from staff.
How long have you been playing Furcadia?: Just an approximate, basically we're asking if you've been playing for at least 6-10 months so you know the ropes.
Requested Mentor: Please take the time to speak to the mentors, listed on the Staff List page and get to know them a little bit. Then, please request at least one name here. You're not promised to get this person as your mentor, but we'll do what we can. Please don't say 'anyone' or 'it doesn't matter'.

Spoiler:

Scenarios || What would you do, in the following situations?
Some side notes; please be aware that while there is no limit on how long these need to be, two words isn't acceptable. Absolutely everything is required and some questions have two or more parts; so make sure you answer each bit, otherwise you will be declined! Also, these situations are hypothetical. Even if none of these would never happen to you, please answer as though you would be in them, anyways! Also, please make sure your answer is underneath the question, not on the same line.

You've been recommended to be promoted to General Staff very recently after being accepted to the team, although during the course of your time as Trial Staff, you've recieved little to no training. Even so, you've payed attention to other staff and tested commands; so you have a rough idea of how everything works. The Owner is ready to promote you, though isn't aware you haven't been trained properly. What would you do?

You're rather new to the staff team and have begun to notice that several staff members aren't logging online and when they are online, won't come into the dream and do their job, leaving most of the staff duties to you. The guests begin to take advantage of having only one staff member around and take to spamming the desk area, flooding the forums with inappropriate posts and placing topics in wrong areas, and filling areas of the dream with items. More people come in with similar behaviour and it's a little difficult for just one person to handle. What is your course of action?

While behind the desk with plenty of patrons and staff around, most people are complaining of boredom and some have taken to lightly trolling; though it's not enough that you believe is appropriate for a warning. Conversations begin to drop off and become awkward and the dream just seems lame, at the moment. What do you do?

An extremely close friend of yours, whom you've previously had no problems with, has decided to apply to be a member of the staff team. They've asked you "put in a good word" with the rest of the staff members, to ensure they're hired. They begin to act like staff members; answering when people want a cabin and whispering you to ask you give it to them. They ask to be push behind the desk when there aren't many staff around and claim to be a member of staff, though they haven't been added to the DS yet. They begin to start fights with a guest who's known to be troublesome and one fight results in your friend threatening to eject them and asking you to do so. You know they're not normally like this and are likely just excited and nervous and believe they would, once they calm down, would be a very good staff member. How would you put up with the situation?

An extremely large group is positioned at the desk and, as it does over the course of the day, the speech begins to get a little bit T+ rated and even above. While nobody's spamming, the chatter becomes noticably faster and it's difficult to keep up. There's no free seats at the desk and people are beginning to pile up on the floors. A smaller group joins the desk area and asks everyone else to slow down and lower the rating of their speech, as they're underage and uncomfortable. However, they're being ignored by the larger group and have taken to speaking in bolded caps to ask people to stop, which has resulted in the first group to telling them to move if they didn't want to be around T+ content. You step in once and calmly try to mediate the situation, but someone in the larger group believes you're being unfair as you were fine with it earlier; they were there first and should be entitled to continue. They hint that they're close to one of the Managers and will ask them to remove your share, if you don't leave them be. What do you feel would be the best thing to do, here?

A particular troublemaker has made themselves well known at the desk, interrupting conversations and spam the dream constantly both with items and speech. While they've recieved warnings, no real action has been taken against them; though everyone tends to leave any area that they happen to wander into. They treat people terribly and have been known to troll the moment staff members are all offline or unavailable, though produce edited logs that show other users as provoking them when confronted about the situation. Claiming they want to be there to keep them in line, they fill out a staff application and you decide to give it a 'no rec' due to their behaviour. They approach a Manager with false logs, in which they edited them to have you say they weren't welcome in the dream and that you only gave them a 'no rec' because you didn't like them. You counter with accurate logs and the Manager decides to warn you both as it's unclear which logs are true and they want to be fair. As such, the troublemaker is also accepted to the staff team and have begun ejecting the people they dislike, at the desk and have found a way around the auto emits for when people are ejected. How would you go about clearing the situation up?

Additional Comments & Other ;

Do  you happen to have anything else to add? Suggestions for the application or dream overall, any additional information that will help us hire you, refrences from previous dreams, etc. If not, feel free to just remove this section entirely from your application!

Please remember to use this coding! If, while filling it out / once it's submitted and you find an error in the coding or a spelling error, please file a report on the website so that we can fix it. Please don't alter the coding, especially to use any colours or different fonts; some staff members have sensitive eyes. Thank you!

Art Staff Section
Please only fill out this section if you're interested and willing to do various things for the dream, such as donate art or create custom patches. Of course, you will be a normal member of staff as well; it's just for artists who wish to help out in the dream. You will be denoted with a special star on the staff list and occasionally asked to make patches and such for the dream. In the event you don't wish to become art staff, please just remove this entire section from your application with the exception of the "Art Staff Section" title, above. Just run a lovely little strike through it, so we know you're not interested, please! Also, please note that it's a requirement for art staff to donate at least one piece of custom work to be used in CB only.

Artist Type: What can you do? Patchwork, portraits, art, etc?
Your Donation(s): If you have premade patches, please list here what you'll be willing to donate. If you're unsure or will make it once accepted, please speak to Ceilia. She'll let you know an item we need! That, or look in our accepted suggestions! If there's an item there we need created, it would be awesome for you to jump the gun and create it, for us.
Commission Information: If applicable. Please post your prices, as well as any discount information, if applicable. You will be asked to donate at least one item to the dream before being considered a member of Art Staff, though afterward we would, depending on funds, like to actually pay you. We may not be able to all the time, but incentives such as gold and CB items and free temporary perms will be available.
Examples: Please post a link to some of your previous work(s). Please ensure the links work, using the "preview" button before submitting your application!
Other Information?: Anything else you'd like to add? Please do. The more information, the better.
