What are interactive cabins/gardens? Interactive cabins and gardens are one of the ways Camp Bournedale is set apart from the rest, and our way of providing additional entertainment to guests within our dream to ensure their stay is enjoyable. Interactive cabins our the way Camp Bournedale wishes to provide additional entertainment for its guests while visiting the dream. It gives you things to do, and opens additional quests that aren't available when you don't have a cabin or your cabin isn't interactive. You can still do most of the things in non-interactive areas, but it's a lot less fun to do so; and it's not as hands-on.
What happens in these interactive cabins?
- You gain access to a special floors/items room!
- You get a "starter kit", containing a pickaxe, a mop, a bowl, a jar, an umbrella, shears, a lawnmower, and a bucket. These are free for your first ones, but you have to pay gold for more; so use these carefully!
- When it rains, if you step in your house, you'll trail water all over the floor!
- The hedges will grow automatically over time, you must shear them to keep them tidy.
- Your walls outside your home may grow vines.
- Your grass will grow over time
- Your plants can drown.
- You will be able to cook, and interact with certain animals such as cows, horses, and cats.
- You have a chance of finding gold, gems, items, and pearls in your yard.
- You can interact with the wells and take water from them for cooking, gardening, and for your animals.
- Your umbrella will keep you from leaving wet trails when you enter into buildings.
- When flooding occurs (be it in an area of the dream or in your yard) you will be able to visit the area and fish! Careful of the shaking screens, though. You can swim as well, but be careful of the mermaids; they're more likely to pull you down. You may drown, or you may get a quest!
If you have health problems and can't handle your screen shaking, please say !Turn Off Shaking when you enter the dream. If you tell staff members, they have the capability to permanently turn it off for you until the PS is cleared or the next reload.
- > Staff will show you how to make smores and hot chocolate.
Note: Careful of things that grow. If they're overgrown, it impacts the health of your animal(s) - and it may even impact the health of your neighbour's animals if the cabins close to you are interactive! Also, if your home shows signs of major neglect, staff may or may not clear the home depending on availability.
- If you toss things into wells, you get special items.
- We need more special items!
- We need a lawmower and oil. The lawnmower breaks every so often.
- Staff need to wander around once in a while and make sure there's no water in any rooms. The DS will clear it automatically after 10 hours, but we'd like to keep things clean in the meantime. It gives you something to do!
When you purchase a cabin, a staff member will ask you if you would like it to be interactive or not.
