Staff Application Walkthrough & Assistance. WIP

Basic Introduction(s) || All About You ;

The first three questions are straight to the point and already tell you the requirements, and there's no tips here as it's just basic information. However, we ask for your gender as most people use pronouns when they're speaking about a person, and we don't want to offend you! The gender of your account on Furcadia may not be what you want to be reffered as, especially if it's a roleplay character.

When it comes to the fourth question, which inquires as to your age - we're not meaning to invade on your personal privacy, so it's perfectly alright if you would prefer to not answer. However, we're looking for people who do have a bit of a higher maturity level and don't require an adult to be in the room when using Furcadia. Generally, people begin to experience things like getting a job, learning to drive, among other things at the age of sixteen - so, it was decided this was a good age. However, we're mostly just looking for people who are mature!

As for inquiring how long you've been on Furcadia, it's just to see how much you know. If you've only been on Furcadia for a day and don't quite know how to move your avatar around, or what 'DS' and 'PS' means, maybe you should come back apply in a couple of months, instead. c:

Next is the question asking you to name who you would like to be your mentor, which is a fancy term for you requesting someone specific to give you your training over the course of the next couple of weeks, should you be accepted. Now, this is where the "tricks" within the questions begin to come out - so please carefully pay attention to the application from here on out. While, yes, in requesting someone yourself, you're taking off an amount of stress and work from the Staff Manager, this is also a test to see if you've taken the time to get to know the staff members. If you're willing to take that extra time to speak to them, you'll likely be willing to go above and beyond in the future to exceed the expecations of staff members. While you do not have to ask for a certain member, it is one of the key parts to being accepted. It may make you look lazy, otherwise!

The Basics of CB || Now that we know about you, how do you know us?

The first two questions are quite simple in this section, and you should be able to answer it without any troubles. If you need assistance, perhaps you should spend some more time in the dream before applying.

The third question is asking who the original founders of CB are. This question was placed on the application mostly to sound out those who were willing to put in extra effort and look around the forums, instead of simply assuming and filling out an application.

While the answer to this question is truly simple, it may be considered a trick; so please be cautious. If you've had to look at the Staff List for answers to the first two questions or this one, you probably haven't been in the dream long enough to apply.

Straight forward! When do you believe we opened?

This next question, "How many staff members do we have, at the present time?" seems simple and straightforward; but please be warned this is a trick question. What the question appears to be asking for is, "How many staff do we actually have right now?" What it's /actually/ asking, is how many you believe we have - meaning, don't look at the staff list. Think to the past- .. maybe two weeks, and try and count all the different staff members who you've noticed a fair bit around the desk. You may impress us if you list their names!

Have you gone out of your way to attempt to get to know the staff members?

If you have gone out of your way to speak to the staff members, and your possible future co-workers, are there any issues we need to know about that may cause a bump within the dream? This likely will not affect your application; we're looking for the status of your maturity, with this. Also, if you would b willing to fill out reports against staff members. While 'tolerating' someone is alright, we need to make sure you have no problems stepping up if someone's out of line. If you can admit you've got a problem with someone, it shows you're at an older mental age; and that's what we're asking, with this.

Art Staff Section
Enable / Disable

Please only fill out this section if you're interested in becoming a member of the art staff. You, of course, can otherwise gain and lose rank - you'll just have a special star next to your name in the staff list that lets us know you're an art staff member. If you're interested in filling this out, please bold "Enable" and hide the rest of this with a spoiler tag. The spoiler tag is the little notepad in the fourth section of formatting tools, with the "!" in a yellow triangle. If you're disinterested in filling this out, please bold "Disable" and remove the rest of this section from your application.

Requirements;
Please note that all art staff must donate either: one piece of custom work to be seen in Camp Bournedale ONLY, or two pieces of other work.
