Gaming Suggestions

Ok, I have some suggestions for the dream, gaming wise. Yes, CH, Mystic, W/e could have these things, since CH seems to have everything.. Anyhow. Here are some simple suggestions that camps have.

- Arts & Crafts Station: Where patrons can build the following;
a) Picture Frames
b) "Clay" Figurines/Sculptors/Ash Tray/Etc
c) Sewing (Optional)
d) Beads - Necklaces/Bracelets/Etc.

This is just a suggestion (optional) but I think it would be good, since pretty much all summer camps that I've heard of (never been to) have had something like this. I only do family camping, so idk.

- Mining Station: That Dino Dream gave me an idea. What we could do, is have it so patrons can mine for fossils. (Just fossils) in a small section close to the lake. Once they find a fossil, they can use it as a decoration for their yard, or perhaps cash it in for a prize? (yes this sounds like CH. As I said, they have pretty much every fucking thing.) Here are some fossil options;
a) Dino Bones
b) Rock(fossil) with a bug in it from the dino age, or something like that xD
c) Crystallized stone (fossil)

- Fishing/Swimming/Canoeing: Yes, I know we've passed around the canoe option, and we're doing it. But I was thinking, and I've passed this idea around for a while now. Is have it so you can fish while you canoe. Yes, this will take up some space in the DS lines, but I think it will be worth it for patrons. Although, there is a problem with the canoe moving, correct? Whenever the furre turns, the canoe goes in that direction, correct? Ok, well my reasoning is that we can have a command to get the canoe to stop when you want to fish. For example: !CStop (Canoe Stop). This can cause problems in the lake area, so maybe we could have it so they can only do it in a certain section in the lake. Also, I was hoping there would be a dock, like in another game I play (runescape) you could fish from a dock in Karmaja Island.. Anyhow xD For the dock, we could have it so patrons can fish off of it, also have the canoe's tied to the dock, and so forth. Me and Eva have discussed the swimming area, when I showed her this one dream that had a deep end in a river. What we could do, is make it so there is certain depths, the water won't take long to make (specially with the correct use of the patches) and set up. So we'll have shallow-ish water around the edges of the lake, and it gets deeper as you go in the middle (except the furre will be able to go back into shallow on the other side. And this is where "swimming" comes from. Also, when in the canoe, furres shouldn't be allowed to leave it until placed at the dock


Everyday Dream Event Games

I. Decoration Contest = We could have this in the event building.
II. Item Game = Event Building
III. Cabin/Tent Decorating = In Cabin/Tent section of dream
IV. Colour Contest = Event Building
V. Four Square/Four Corners/Four Colours/Etc. = Event Building
VI. Etc.

- For the Event Building, we should have it like CH, where you can't enter it unless staff unlocks the command. Because patrons are allowed to decorate for their own event, correct? Well, if staff give permission by command, and supervise the patron, then there should be no problem in the Event Building if you are looking to make it so patrons can decorate and host events.

Questions

Post Office - What are we using this, besides the quest, for exactly? Just curious xD
Chinch Farm - This should be the only farming segment in this dream.
Trading Post - What are we using for money? o.o
Bank - Are we going to have a bank, or is this the reason for the trading post? xD

I'll start by reply to each section in the order they appear. ^^

-Arts and Crafts-
a) Sounds like an interesting idea, only thing I'm worried about is how it's gonna be DSed and how the picture frame is actually going to be "built" by the furre. xD
b) I have no clue how we'll be able to do this. o.o
c) It's a good idea, and I know I'm starting to sound like Niki here, but considering that the winter version of CH that is up right now also has sewing and building a toy, maybe we shouldn't do this...
d) It's a classic camper activity, and I love it, but since we're using beads as our money instead of actual bills and coins, it might be easily confused. Maybe we could use noodles? xD

-Mining Station-
Great idea, although I'm absolutely dreading the DS that would come with this. And maybe if they find dino bones, they could connect them to make a dino. o:
a) Where would we get the patches for these dino bones?
b) Ooh, I like.
c) Ooooh, I like even more. o3o

-Lake Activities-
I asked Tally, who directed me to Niki, today if we should have have a dock, considering that since the canoe DS has the boat constantly moving and it'd be hard to fish. Niki apparently didn't know we were even doing fishing, but I like the dock idea. What you suggested though, like a command to stop the boat, might work. I was thinking that maybe when a canoe race isn't going on, I could DS is so that you'd have to press f3 to move around the lake. But when a canoe race is starting, it's switch DS lines so that the boat automatically moves. I'm pretty sure it's possible, and staff can switch the DS lines by saying a special command, almost like a raceopen & raceclose command. It could be something like !raceon & !raceoff. For the swimming idea, I love it. But considering that making the lake have depth would mean putting water patches all over the lake might interfere with canoe races and such. So maybe we could have like a closed off area of the lake thats "safe" for swimming?

-Events & Event Building-
Once I finish up with fixing the quest DS (Whoopsies ^_^") I'm going to get started on this right away. I don't think we'd need to make a special command that'd give a furre special powers to decorate whatever contest they're setting up for in the event room. Instead, I can just edit the paste DS so that it allows anyone to paste in the event room, pick up objects, etc.

-Questions-
Post Office- Instead of having the mailboxes that contain the "letters" that furres write to each other in the dream, we're having one main building that people can visit to check to see if they have any mail, and it stores it in an "inbox" of sorts. Shad suggested the idea and said he could DS it so..ask him if you have any questions about it. xD
Trading Post- The "money" we'll be using is beads. A different color bead represents a different amount of "money" or "Credits" that you can use to get stuff like prizes (which is what the trading post will be used for), food, gardening supplies, chinchillas, special items, etc.
Bank- I'm assuming we'll have a bank of sorts so that you don't have to carry around a bunch of beads all the time. xD

Arts & Crafts

- We could hold this off until CH's winter version is done? c:

Mining Section

- When firefox stops being an ass, I'll try to find something that relates to dino bones

Lake

- I agree with the "Closed Off Section/Safe For Swimming"

Event Room

- I meant so staff just have to type a command, and the event room will be open so that the patron can host their event c:

i like everything. for the everyday games we have an activities cabin. that's been taken care of already. the only thing i believe we shouldn't do is the mining. because so far we took, banking (except with beads), and fishing from them. arts and crafts sounds fun. don't understand how the frame would work though. lol. and for the questions..look at eva's reply.

We didn't take the fishing from them, I know/knew other dreams which had fishing as an option, and so forth, I didn't take that from them. Mining, I didn't get from them, I got it from another dream, dino dream, and I think it would be great. Just as long as we don't make it so patrons can get profit from their finds, or make it so they can not find jewels. Yes, they have mining, but if we did it, it will be differen't for a few ways, and for this I think we should do it.. Plus they don't own it and it would be great for camping c: being able to put dino's together with the bones they find. C:
